    They have no value.

    Victoria once banned them for good reason.

    The nonsense arguement that it supports community activities is just that, nonsense.

    I have friends saying how great they are as it makes their club activities cheaper BUT they don't play them.

    So they reap the rewards of those putting their wages through the machines to subsidise their sports and grog etc.

    IF there was some skill involved in pokies and IF some actually made money then I could live with that.

    Yes, some have a bit of fun and just subsidise the club BUT TOO MANY are addicted.

    Ban the bloody things and stop relying on addicts to give you a cheaper product.

    Its obscene.
