Forgot to mention, while I was mowing I ran over a black snake but the thing is I didn't see him till I came around to the same spot on a wide circuit then I saw him writhing about He must have just come out of this thick honeysuckle hedge when I ran over him. There wasn't anything handy to kill him with so I thought the best thing is to run back & forth over him with the blades low a few times. I still couldn't tell if he was dead though because by that time he was covered with grass. But I wasn't going to get off the mower and ferret around I might be stupid but I'm not that stupid. Who knows how many of them are in that hedge though because it was only a young snake.
