Agreed.
In the huge whiteboard of HotCopper posts good expression, clever subject titles, solid research, good insight, latral thinking and so on are what gets noticed by members and members can decide.
Imo, lazy prose including profanity, flaming, spamming, bad manners, sensationalist/misleading thread headers etc get equally noticed initially and members then tend to switch off.
Its that easy.
Ooops, to make this MEL related ... there are a huge proportion of the right kind of HC members who frequent the MEL threads imo.
