If I had bought into MEO back when it first sparked my attention (late '07, maybe) I would not be as concerned as I am now (was running with QGC, AOE, AND, LNC at the time).
I have always been a fundamentals guy. As a scientist and engineer, I find technical analysis as palatable as tarot and tea leaves (though to my disdain TA seems to work a lot of the time - particularly since the GFC). I generally buy for medium to long term (at least 6months) and I bought into MEO as I liked the fundamentals. I think I am realising that the source of much of my frustration is not MEO management, but my own investing decisions.
This is the first time I have ever held a negative position (i.e. not acted on a stop loss). That alone is enough to rock the pillars of logic and common sense, introducing an unhealthy level of (negative) emotion into my decision making.
