Technical processing begins with commissioning , and I would expect commissioning to take between 4 to 6 weeks , aim for five weeks ,generally goes something like this start up of machinery ,crushers , check all bearing temps, conveyors tracking , watch and listen for vibration through out all plant , bearings temps ,electric motors, v belts on dry side, then when happy commence operation's on light feed min tonnage , much to adjust on wet side , pumps ,density's of slurry feed , mill crush size ,getting the balance right through plant , the when happy increase production rate, probably initially aiming for 100t, over first two weeks or there about, there is much , much more than this abbreviation, thickeners ,mill ,, crushers ,tailings etc. to tune , after a steady rate of production achieved the big focus will be on gold recovery, before any real push in production is realistic , these plants will run 24/7 once steady rate of feed established and it would be ideal if some of the old mill operators or shift supervisors from the tanami days recruited as all these plants have there idiosyncrasies that are outside of spec's, and good operational knowledge of the particular plant can be invaluable in time saving and cost.
(also ensuring the right spares are on site electrical and mechanical is essential as a relatively low cost part can shut down production for day's)
