Looking into the future when the pit/pits are developed/developing, the jewell in the crown will be when the underground operations kick in. Vertical orebodies extremely high grades a licence to print money. Many believe that open pits are a cheaper way to mine and for the most part they are, depending on the width of the orebody. A pit does not have to be fully developed before underground operations take place. Then there will have to be a fine balancing act between having enough tonnes to keep the mill supplied & getting the highest return of grade possible. Hopefully further exploration and some forward planning will achieve that ultimate balance.
