Redbull (and others) were initally banned in OZ due to the high caffine level not being accepted as a drink which could be bought by children.
Because NZ's economy is so bad, they accepted the manufactures proposal to build a factory in NZ. Our agreement with the kiwi's states that if one country accepts a product, the other has to as well. Same with immigrants.
NZ is a back door for many things we normally wouldn't accept.
