I support the common sense (if not sexy) approach of Dutton on substantive issues
I support tackling the cost of energy in our country. It is truly out of control
I support a state run nuclear energy infrastructure (that isn't against liberal principles)
But the mistake is a political one from Dutton...
He may've shifted the debate from cost of living to nuclear safety.
That's not winning ground.
Australian's are essentially conservative in their approach to change. I think the LNP might've just overplayed their hand. They'll need to wrestle the language and propaganda back to energy bills and cost of living.
Dutton now needs to shift language back to the ground where Labor have no moral high ground.
