Thats because you failed chemistry at yr 8 level...a small amount of a substance can have a huge impact in a chemical reaction...very similar to a small increase in the amount of co2 can cause enough warming in the atmosphere...especially if it is added relatively quickly as is happening at the moment...actually it is happening with unprecedented speed
