    Just my humble opinion bellow:

    Hi Flyboy, please excuse the long post but I will endeavor to discuss a number of points. Firstly, xenotransplantation isn't new. It's been a hot topic since around the 80's and its a lot more common than people think. The great man Robin Williams had a porcine implant (his comedy routine on that is hilarious).

    What is relatively new and exciting is the process of "cleaning" implants so that it has no resemblance to its origins and has none of its previous characteristics.

    On a completely separate matter for all those interested I suggest you read:

    Secondly, as one can imagine the field of xenografts is highly contested. Xenograft is originated from animal and more widely available than allograft (human to human). And no one group holds a monopoly on this.
