It has nothing to do with Australia being reluctant on the technology and has everything to do with the US being a bigger market.
They've been able to seamlessly get approval from the FDA and make it into the US hospitals.
Makes a hell of a lot more sense to go for the biggest market first - and if they can make it in the US, all the other countries will follow.
Its much easier to get a broader customer base by saying "Hey look Australia, the US like our tech" than the other way around.
