Like you I am into Gold and Oil, have been for the last umpteen years.
Gold seems to rise during September with a peak around Xmas and start falling in Mid January.
Oil goes up in winder time (northern hemisphere).

World wide events can distort the figures, but basically that's how it has worked for me.

I am trying hard to find some correlation between the DOW and price of Gold. Each time I think I got it worked out, the DOW thwarts my assumptions.
