As janti alluded, that would be oppression of the minorities under the corporations law. But there is nothing stopping them from retaining the profits for expansion and increasing mine life, instead of paying hefty dividends.

This issue has been thrashed around a lot, and so to appease the dividend-dreaming holders, I will say no more!
