Only that my friend had been so positive for so long, despite all the endless bad news and setbacks, that a number of years later I did some basic homework and thought "F**k it, I'll just throw 500 or 600 at it" Which got me 40k shares. I bought a couple more times and now have 44.8k. My holding has vacillated from 0.6k to 22k and more in value and I now understand why my friend spat and left. But - I am 66 now. I got smashed in the GFC to the tune of nearly half a mil. But, we still managed to live a pretty good life. Now, I'm looking at LIN to help me retire in 3 to 5 years. It really is no more complicated than that. I'm just hoping, more than anything else, that Malawi remains stable. That's really the one and only thing long time, serious players need to be worried about, in my humble un-educated opinion. Cheers.
