The US is unquestionably decling as a powerhouse of the world economy, but there are many more hundreds of millions throughout the developing countries who are racing at breakneck speed to acquire the western world's way of life, as unsustainable as that is.....
The emergence of the asian regions, coupled with a growing Latin America will ensure continuation of the world economy, albeit perhaps at a more gradual rate without the US....
Of course, there are ALWAYS scenarios that can limit this....war on a global scale for one, although if that were ever to eventuate in this modern age, economic considerations may become of little significance....
