Belinga had four parties involved in the first agreement with The Gabon Government.
Brazil's Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD)who headed a consortium with China's CEMEC along with French group Eramet and one other,(SINOSTEEL).
Vale and CEMEC fell out and ended up making separate bids.
CEMEC were preferred by the Gabon President.
Prior to the President dying the project has been on hold.
The ex President's son has taken over in Gabon and asked for a better deal from the Chinese.
VALE said they are still interested in bidding again.
