REALISATION OF INVESTMENT
The Board of Cardia Technologies Limited advises that in line with its corporate
strategy of realising investments when required for working capital purposes and for
its other business operations, the Company has sold its investment in A-Cap
Resources Limited for a cash consideration of $ 4,943,196
The sale will gross a profit of $ 4,345,735 (before tax) on its investment cost of
$597,461
Cardia has retained its other investments, namely the listed Dia- B Tech Limited
(2.2%) and the unlisted Bioglobal Limited (35%) and Natural Pharmacy Pty Ltd
(66%) but will continue with its policy of selling all or part of these investments
should the right opportunities arise.
The Company has also recently announced its intentions to offer shareholders and
optionholders the opportunity to invest directly into Cardia’s 100% owned water
treatment and recycling subsidiary Aquenox Ltd.
The Board confirms that the Company’s principal business activities continue to be
environmental technology, agricultural and medical biotechnology, natural
pharmaceuticals and mineral exploration and advises that it is still awaiting the status
of the applications it has made for exploration ground in Botswana.
