The investors update is just a concerted effort coupled with the 'source' from yesterday after hour. It is not the reason why the stock is up.
There was a buy up price and a stop loss as other posters pointed out. From past exp, the stop loss always get hit since everyone knows. And the buy up price always ended up higher.
