In the asx update Jan 8th, they said a full update would be provided in the Quarterly & the updated reserve report in "coming weeks". That's why I tend to think the Reserve upgrade will come before the Quarterly which is due by Friday. I'd say the tax dispute probably delayed the reserve report while they were otherwise occupied.

So I think there'll be lots of news in the Quarterly updating all facets of the operation.

The tax dispute is not going to go away in a hurry. I think they'll resolve the main issue with the revenue fairly quickly as that's black & white. The other issues will be minor and there will probably be a dispute over tax (minor) for the next couple of years. Randgold only sorted theirs out when they merged with Barrick & needed some clarity.
