They will issue less AMEX cards now , previously manager bonuses were tied to selling X amount cards a season . now with this costcutting , bonuses halted as well as wage freeze . no incentive to push cards now . after a big slump earlier in year various depts now making budget although YoY budgets are less . most of growth now is due to costcutting and as we no that is a finite source of growth , you cant cut whats been stripped bare
