Morrison6, these are only my thoughts here about what may have transpired.

For quite some time now there was much discussion about Optiscan and if it were so good why didn't someone like Manu kea or KZ just buy OIL outright?

I think the answer to that lies in the fact that they couldn't do that back then because there were too many large holdings stopping that and perhaps a management against it as well? that may have changed now with this new management?

Looking back at what transpired recently, I get the feeling that this was all about control of the company so that maybe if an offer was made and was acceptable, then we will get sold, perhaps the old management wanted to go the distance and instead of boiled lollies they were wanting Chocolates , which would have taken longer to achieve, I get that, I think they may have wanted a company something like cochlear, I reckon they wanted to live the dream, perhaps that's all it ever was? I reckon we will never know now, I think some people were becoming impatient after all these years, nothing of value ever comes easy, I just hope they hold out for a very good price, just think, the Zeiss Convivo would only be half the machine without Optiscans input, and OIL also had it's own hand held stuff that would have taken off once people saw how good the tech is and how useful it was.
I guess now we will never know if my thinking is correct?
