Yeah it is a shame that the electrical efficiency and carbon savings versus solar were not emphasised. However the report did make the point quite well that low emissions technologies are being implemented in other developed countries as part of the solution and in this respect Australia is being left behind.

Our real money was always going to be made outside Australia anyway.

Also of interest was that the Victorian government spent $1.35 million on their 30 BlueGen units. My trusty calculator says they paid $45,000 for each unit.
