The Fitzgerald report was basically political exercise and when they started to look at the Labor Pollies it was cancelled. The police side of it was just as it affected the Liberal party

The police forces throughout Australia all have some level of corruption
NSW was at one stage called the most corrupt system in the world
The Beach report in Melbourne uncovered a lot of corruption but it was also quashed

There are no watchdogs in our system which are independant
