There is a royal commission starting this month in Victoria I believe in relation to Simon Overland (police commissioner at the time) using a high profile lawyer as an informant.

Clearly a breach of client confidentiality. I’m no lawyer but I think that information that she passed on will be deemed inadmissible which could result in retrials, quashed convictions and compensation pay outs.

It will be interesting to see the findings.
