Unions should be about safety and working conditions, all the benefits etc is a crock and leads to inflation and taking from Peter to give to Paul. If a company is any good they usually are pretty good with benefits anyway and workers strive to work for them, but small business which perhaps can't afford so many benefits would be the start for people to work their way up.
