Sadly macrae12, this is Australia in 2009. We continue to follow the USA way and it is just wrong. I love Australia and it is still a great place to live but it needs a Singapore style system. People like to think Australia is one of the best places to live (and it is) but it will not remain that way if morals keep decaying at the rate they are. I am currently in Slovenia and the difference is stark when it comes to law and order and public safety etc. I was walking around the main square of Ljubljana last night and not a drunk in sight, no rubbish on the street and many police. People here just know not to stuff up because the consequences will be very harsh. In Australia, there are no consequences whatsoever. Australia could be cleaned up real quick but political correctness will not allow it.
