    On behalf of all the helpless victims in these sorts of situations... thanks! If that had been my daughter experiencing that bashing I would love someone to go to her aid.

    You sound like you know what you are talking about, and from my own experience, I agree with you in regard to talking about these things and all the other solutions you offer.

    PTSD has a profound effect on people, that is often outside their control, although it often happens to the victim or someone who has faced a trauma that is life threatening, that is not to say that someone like MacRae won't be impacted.

    Getting 'jumpy' as a result of loud noises is one reaction that occurs for a while as a by-product of PTS, as your trust in the world is somewhat diminished.

    One of the best solutions to PTS is exercising. Great for the body and the mind. Swim, walk, ride, run, etc. It all helps.
