You have an unhealthy obsession with the share price.
The fact is:
- Market is down but CTP is actually stable. That indicates CTP's financials are in good shape.
- JH was good at collecting dirt but looking for the wrong hydrocarbon and wasn't terribly great at it. We bought in with pie in the sky ideas and hasn't paid off. Simple. That's the game, you lose, get over it and move on.
- RC was a good strategist with the gas play and helped give this company direction - now it's steady as she goes. Thank you RC. This is not just a good thing but a great thing. Would you prefer bankruptcy with JH's vision or lack thereof?
The energy landscape has been changing and for anyone who was paying attention and not suffering from ideological biases, would realise oil is done and dusted. 20 years ago, retail solar in this country cost $10/watt. Today it's less than 50c/watt - this is staggering! Lithium batteries are in cars and homes. New chemistries and energy sources are being invented. Organizations are no longer shackled to oil and gas...and why would any organization wish to be hostage to outrageous energy prices they can't control. Energy independence is the name of the game from the humble household to entire nations.
This is the new world. There are alternatives to energy. Oil and gas is no longer king and will never be king again. This the reality our company faces. Dukas and Range is not this issue. If you can't face the reality maybe you should take a long hard look at your investment strategy.
