    Whilst management may be raking in some decent clams, regardless of results, this is sadly nothing new for Australian (and beyond) publicly listed companies. Not defending these kinds of salaries which are clearly not based on performance, but to be surprised, is to be ignorant. What I find most ignorant though is that people here seem to assume that these professionals don't give a shit if their drugs fail. Their ultimate financial worth (if you completely discount their professional worth), is based on getting a drug to market. Yes they have a safety net due to their salaries (their shares and options are basically worthless at this juncture) however the thought that they willingly coast along and let the a trial fail due to their salary is naïve.

    Personally I have no advantage in selling at this point as the paper loss is too great and the return from sale is too small to make a difference, even in a rocket ship stock. I imagine there are a few others in a similar position. Let's hope the company can either redirect the drug or perhaps develop a trial with more appropriate end points?
