When things go wrong, it’s natural to want to find someone to blame. I get that - it’s human nature. As I worked through my own urge to pile on with the conspiracy theories and finger-pointing, I realised it was just my ego trying to avoid facing the loss. It’s not productive, and it doesn’t change the outcome.
As for the hope you mentioned - if the lab data does support a more targeted trial, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shifted their focus to the US. Of course, that’s a big “if"...
