Rio Tinto, and other mining companies have offered more jobs, more community support, and helped indigenous people far more then any other organisation built around helping aboriginals. There is a brutal misconception on mining companies as big bad people. Also all though this is a bit off topic... I was shocked when organisations supposedly built around helping aboriginals condemned an aboriginal for joining the board of Rio Tinto lol, that took me back a bit.
