Didn't Barrick Gold buy out Placer Dome many years ago when Placer Dome had a JV with Gateway on a couple highly prospective sites on Gateways land? Didn't Barrick Gold stop the relationship with Gateway because of the merging businesses with Placer Dome? I wonder if the area that Placer Dome had a JV partnership with Gateway is being drilled at all this year? I would think if Placer Dome saw the potential in Gateway many years ago before the take over with Barrick Gold maybe there is some refreshing news coming out of the tenements that is hopefully being re-drilled in February/ March drilling program by Gateway? The last quarterly results certainly reflects areas that Placer Dome were involved in many years ago with Gateway, by the looks? Maybe someone can help me out here? But also isn't Sandfire only about 250km away but on a similar strike zone to Gateway? This is not my area of expertise, anyone input would be helpful? Doing a little research, wasn't Sandfire a 5 cent share 3-4 years ago and now its in the $8:00 range. Is it likely 250km is too far away to judge or could Gateway be in a good passage way to Sandfire? Does anyone else think this could be a good bet?
