I cannot give an opinion on the two companies that u mention, but I am of the opinion that their are many "good fits" within the sector. Things that need to be looked at are, cultural,strategic,synergies, who has what prospects ,proven sources etc but maybe I am a simpleton I do not see why more of this is not occuring. Kerry Stokes merged a newspaper this year with a tractor company,Gina Reinhart bought a truckload of Channel 10 go figure
I would love HC's suggesting who they think should start having a little get together.
