Rick I don't rule out a hostile takeover. However I don't believe that in this situation it's likely to get the best out of the current employee's.
If the management and employees don't agree or gel correctly they might get the assets but not the know how and the relations between the people in Vietnam.
I worked for a company where the company was sold off to another company.
Nothing worked. There was infighting and management left. Employees left.
New management made changes that did not work.
In the end the whole company just fell apart.
It was sold off for a song after it all fell apart. The company is still going. I am not sure how well these days as I don't keep up since I left some 15 years ago.
It was turmoil though for many years.

Just because something can be bought cheaply doesn't mean it should be.
The company thinking of doing this needs to think it through carefully or else their plans may be strewn asunder.
