I guess it is dumb luck that Australian nickel ore now needs a new secure, low cost, ESG compliant, Australian owned and run processing option in order to compete with China/Indonesian ore on the market and to secure supply for the Australian market of finished battery products. Market conditions turned our way and while the Canada deal may have been strategic at the time, the outlay may not be required anymore if supply contracts can be signed. That's the big picture I like the look of and the best part of it is it should guarantee EFA/CMF finance because that is exactly the purpose of those funds.
