A KAH /EXT merger was proposed back in 2008 - refer to a presentation given at the Macquarie - Emerging Leaders Conference on 15 Oct 2008 pages 28, 29, 30. If get the time might update the values given to arrive at a possible scenario. However, the merger obviously didn't go ahead because of the concerns that RIO could take over the new company without having to pay a premium - RIOs holding in the new company would now be approx 28% I think.
