Even the entertainer Prince, who became a JW wouldn't get an operation on his crippled hips and died because of over-use of prescription pain killers because he could not get a transfusion if it was necessary during an operation. It has been stated by specialist physicians that a number of JWs will have transfusions when there are no brethren around to dob them in.

The fact of the matter is that back in the history of your religion somebody in a very confused state read the scripture of the Jews and imagined that eating blood was the same as a life saving transfusion of blood. They forgot that it was life that was sacred, not blood. They could not even acknowledge that the true blessings from God was received by the humans who used their God-given intelligence to work out a way to safely exchange living blood to preserve the life of our fellow human beings. This has saved hundreds-of-millions of lives.

Now imagine the state of a religion that would not only ban life saving blood transfusions because somebody in their history could not understand the basic meanings in the Bible and established a law in complete ignorance of reality and then if somebody chose to live rather than follow this law founded in ignorance, they would be disfellowshipped, abandoned, cut off from family.

So it's physically die or emotionally die, that's the choice your religion offers, with love of course.

Why do you suppose Louise [ a non JW ] says that those that have a blood transfusion have a poorer outcome than those that don't at around the 2:40 mark?
