I was being a bit mischievous, because as we all know and accept, Satan does not exist. But for those who extol the virtues of this mythical being and this far-reaching power he exerts, especially when something such as logic, science or common sense contradicts their own belief, I thought I should throw it back at them.
Because one would imagine that the effect would determine who is behind an outcome. Surely it's a no-brainer to see that beliefs that cause disunity, enmity, even conflict and death, must be caused by Satan. The teachings presented by the majority of Christians, or in fact those fixed in a religious belief almost always make the claim that they are right and all others are wrong. This can only be because they are influenced by Satan.
After all, to make the claim that Christianity, or Islam, Christ or Muhammad, etc, is the only true path to God, then renders God a bigoted, prejudice, uncaring Father to great swathes of humanity.
Now, Mr Gordon, which of your children have you chosen to educate and which have you chosen to allow to remain ignorant? And yet this very claim that Christ and Christianity is the only path to God is exactly that. It is an extreme insult to God and His ability to love all of humanity equally and at the same time, educate them all as to their capacity and needs. Could this be any more clear?
Now just to clear up your confusion. Clearly there is not a race or creed who do not have a teaching from God. All peoples have their own religions with surprisingly similar moral codes. My point is that all these religions have a basis in truth are a divine origin.
So all true religions are acceptable, and they should see each other as acceptable, as aspects or parts of a grand, single system that is bringing peoples together slowly, with greatest love and care, but then sometime goes horribly wrong and a grand error enters these religions and they begin to believe that they alone belong to the only religion that God sanctions. My point is that as soon as somebody tells you they belong to the only true religion that you should run a mile, because this can only be the work of Satan, working to destroy the foundations of love and harmony between religions.
