IPR-GDF SUEZ Australia position on Victorian brown coal exports
Following the Victorian Government’s announcement that it will release brown coal reserves for
export, IPR-GDF SUEZ Australia has indicated it currently has no plans to export coal from its
Hazelwood mine in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley.
However, the company has more than 300 million tonnes of valuable high-quality brown coal
reserves, and will continue to look at ways to optimise this vast resource in a sustainable manner.
