    Bring it on!

As expected rhetoric ratcheting up ahead of mid-terms. Chinese response entirely proportionate, entirely as expected and targeting specific growth industries.

Cool heads will eventually prevail as both sides assess the costs to their own economies of their escalating actions. LNG is an obvious example where US exports benefit the Sino-US trade imbalance whilst addressing Chinese demand for cleaner energy. Bloomberg was reporting earlier this week US trade negotiators had been reaching out to their counterparts.

As for LNG.AX share price action, someone (hedge fund, offtaker?) clearly wants in big time hence aggressive buying yesterday (and on US OTC when news of escalating tensions was already known) in the knowledge I suspect that a deal will get done with LNG (fuel) now in play (trade war) as GV attests in the Platts article (thanks Bluey).

But don't forget we not just a China play with other potential off takers in the mix.

    Go LNG!
