re: acturtle: kaiser is too deep mmm tough question Marchelo.

I guess my post was definite but my thinking was a bit greyer! My post was also about the three announced intercepts today and I admit I dont have a clue about the rest of the deposit.

The issue is about strip ratios and mining costs.

To strip off 100 to 130 metres to get to 60 metres of copper ore on simple arithmetic is about 2 waste to 1 ore but by the time you allow for pit ramps and the angle of the pit walls it will be higher. Strip ratio could be 3 to 1 for this part of the deposit. Thats high for a copper deposit (and no gold credits? I dont know but they didnt report any for the new holes today).

The copper grades are OK, but not special. My feel is that is at these grades and strip ratio it wouldnt stack up unless there is a significant amount of ore. Like over 100million tonnes - so an operation running at 10 mtpa could be established. Even then it may not be enough to get the required economies of scale with this sort of strip ratio.

    My views only.

The market spoke today. CSE went down on the announcement.
