Population in 2011 was 1500 so maybe 2000 now, with about 2/3 in own houses (say 2 pers/house), so about 1000 households (seems high).
So roughly 1000 domestic and small commercial roofs left to put solar on - at 5 kW/unit is 5 MW x 5 solar hours/day is total possible in small units is 5 kW/unit x 5 solar hours/day x 1ooo roofs = 25 MWhr/day.
Certainly a concerted push to domestic PV on each house or by communal sets on larger roofs, carparks or on-ground would cover Kalbarri's daytime consumption with any extra large-commercial roof solar and a re-powered wind turbine would charge the battery for overnight.
No need for a wave power unit.
