    To atone, some relevant articles, complete with slightly contradictory info - but the sales costs topping out at $860 an ounce (and gold is currently worth USD794 an ounce) seem widely quoted - as a result of diminishing grade:

    I do recall hearing/reading somewhere that Newmont was reconsidering the expansion, but can't find that info. Presumably Newcrest knows nothing about it ;)
