Just came across those very latest news regarding China's newly announced new economic zone plan, "clean" goals, geothermal, and Sinopec's role etc. A bit long hence i only attach links in the end.

The Xiongan New Area, the 100-square-kilometer zone is expected to eventually expand to
2,000 square kilometers — nearly three times the size of New York — and is a key component of a massive “mega-region” developing around Beijing and neighboring Tianjin and Hebei. A host of investors have started flocking to the area after a
surprise move by the government on Saturday (
01/04/2017), to turn three obscure counties in Hebei province — Xiongxian, Anxin and Rongcheng — into the

It is NOT a national plan for a hundred year(s) BUT for a thousand year (so called by media).....huge......
My gut feeling is: KPO management really need to give this Sinopec Hainan project a big push (of course still with flying colours in plant's technical/engineering, but project efficiency is really the key here)! so we can catch the train without being too late and still be able to penetrate/expand and position well in China (otherwise other non-Kalina companies there or even Sinopec themselves may quickly take the big market in the near future to be realistic).
Though in the news it only mentions thermal energy/heating systems etc., but can definitely see the future of thermal energy to power too.

i'm getting excited thinking what can be achieved if KPO can deliver asap and prove 100% success of it's first Kalina power plant in China. Hope the management are also aware of this latest development as the opportunities can be huge!
