"So what does the general market miss in that Clark??"
See my post from 30 December 2020 #: 49862126
I have told Dr Giles that in my opinion the HAV share price should be trading at $1 per share based just on the Kalkaroo copper-gold project metrics alone.
"Why would Sandfire prefer a Botswana project and not consider HAVs project?"
You would have to ask the SFR Board of Directors that question. They appear comfortable with the sovereign risk of operating overseas.

All I know is that Sandfire Resources Limited's currently producing DeGrussa and Monty copper-gold mines only have remaining production life "into the third quarter of calendar year 2022, based on current mining and processing rates". Both these mines are based in Western Australia.
Apart from Botswana, the only other copper project with a feasibility study that Sandfire Resources has is Black Butte in Montana. See my post #:49683058 dated 18 December 2020.
For me, it was interesting that the Black Butte project only has a pre-tax NPV of US$125 million using a 5% discount rate; with a pre-tax IRR of 17%.
I will do a more detailed peer comparison with this project and Kalkaroo next week.
Cheers
