    Well, that would depend if the purpose, no? If the tarriffs were to onshore the manufacture and sale of domestic products - that would be a positive influence on product cost, no?

    And would not having x added to the cost of a Chinese shirt mean that a local product sans x would be more likely to be purchased

    @spinefx Im happy to admit I know SFA about economics but then again my view of economists are they and weathermen are about as proficient....both can get it totally fking wrong and still claim to be an expert.

    I was only out by about $,5,000,000,000 to $6,000,000,000 the economists will tell us, don't worry we got it all wired...and dont ask me where the inflation comes from but dont worry its transitory

    I read China has more tarrifs than anywhere and if the claim is tariffs CAUSE inflation,,,that to me anyway, poses a conundrum.
