I think it is questionable “nous” putting even a bees dick worth of faith any anything a Xi led China would offer about their future international intentions … I would not like to seen any softening of Australia’s current, well justified and well supported stance on China … history is littered with broken dreams of appeasement against autocratic, dictatorial foreign leaders … how did it work out for Chamberlain in 1939 and Macron and Scholz in 2022?
