Well, the good news is one of my other excesses "investing in HGO" isn't a problem.

On a more scientific note Alcohol causes dehydration which, as well as causing hangovers, is a major cause of disc shrinkage and elevated pain from herniated discs. One should match each alcoholic drink with 5 hydrating ones to be in with a chance.
As 401 points out the dehydration causes excessive fluid retention in all the wrong places which brings on heart problems. Shame we work on the principal that these things only happen to others until the damage is done.
When I was 50 a doctor told me I only had five good years left. The young bloke had no idea . Last week the Cardiologist told me I would need a new pacemaker in 12 years time when the battery runs out. He's full of good ideas.
