I can guarantee you that it will never be a successful story as china. Reason is simple.

One, uk and us working class population is much smaller than the booming china middle class.

Two, they are not as "rich" as chinese middle class. I expect this will be disputed because it really hurts the superior feeling of being a first world. But truth is, chinese people have higher disposible income and saving, thus more spending power.

Three, chinese society has this mentality of not being left behind the latest trend. Peer pressure is significant if you want a succussful career.

Four, chinese parent are more willing to spend on their kids. This can be education, skills and wellbeing. In a way, start the competition as early as possible so their kid will always stand at the front of their peers.

Therefore, you can do good in other countries but will never be as successful as china.
