karangahake recon mission

hey all. yesterday I spent the day in karangahake and surrounds chatting to locals and enjoying a beer.
the general vibe surrounding the mine is the locals are not super into the mining operation (shock horror) but they are all confident it is going ahead and confirmed NTL are in fact in operation moving truckloads to a near by plant for processing.
